Develops a mathematical model based on the uniform annual value method for optimal design and operation of the gas-fired CCHP system integrated with energy storage. With an example, studies the effect of energy storage on economic performance of the gas-fired combined cooling heating and power system. The results indicate that in terms of system planning, the application of energy storage devices can optimize the system configuration and decrease the initial cost; and in terms of system operation, it can increase the operation time of generating equipments, improve the performance of equipments and decrease the operation cost.
